Keysight’s complete test solution meets the new computing and performance demands posed by the latest generation of DDR memory standard in the data center infrastructure
Each new generation of DDR synchronous dynamic random-access memory (SDRAM) provides increased data transfer speeds, a reduced footprint, and improved power efficiency. As the speed of DDR technology increases, engineers face new design and validation challenges. Design error margins decrease, and signal integrity becomes challenging to maintain.
Keysight is providing engineers with what it claims as the industry’s first comprehensive double data rate (DDR) 5.0 test solution. Combining receiver, transmitter, and protocol test solutions, the new DDR5 testing solution helps engineers to perform all test requirements in the DDR5 design specification and overcome the challenges posed by the specification.
Complete DDR 5.0 Test Solution
The complete test solution includes transmit (Tx) to receiver (Rx) software along with test fixtures which provide a comprehensive parametric test suite to fully test and characterize DDR5 designs. The new receiver and transmitter test solution also includes high-performance M8040A 64 Gbaud High-performance BERT and Infiniium UXR-Series Real-Time Oscilloscope hardware with the lowest noise and jitter floor to allow the most accurate measurement with highest margins.
“With IoT enabling billions of internet-connected devices, data center operators must find ways to meet ever-increasing data and storage demands, while preserving the quality of service and minimizing costs,” said Dr. Joachim Peerlings, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s Networks and Data Centers. “Keysight’s DDR5 testing solution enable designers to optimize their transmitter, receiver, and channel designs for best performance and reliability at the increased data transfer rate.”
