Anritsu Launches 5G NR Signal Generation Software for MG3710A, MS269xA Series

Newly introduced options in the software helps in saving time and cost to verify 5G NR Base Stations and Mobile Devices

Japanese multinational company, Anritsu Corporation expand its product line by announcing the launch of 5G NR Signal Generation Software for MG3710A and MS269xA Series. The company majorly focuses on measurement software for fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication systems.

These software packages can be installed in the Vector Signal Generator MG3710A or Signal Analyzer MS2690A/MS2691A/MS2692A series with Vector Signal Generator Opt-020 supports output of 5G signals in the frequency band below 6 GHz (sub-6 GHz).

About the product
Vector Signal Generator MG3710A uses MX370113A software and Signal Analyzer MS2690A/MS2691A/MS2692A series for MX269913A. Both the software packages support generation of 3GPP-defined 5G NR waveform files for uplink and downlink signals by setting parameters, such as component carriers (CC, 100 MHz max.), sub-carrier interval, modulation scheme, etc. Moreover, is the software packages are installed in PC then it enables in creating waveforms files without a measuring instrument.

Development Background
Generally two frequency bands are used in commercial 5G services- the mmWave band at 28 and 39 GHz, and the sub-6 GHz band. As, sub-6 GHz band does not support the frequencies used in 4G LTE, so this increases the demand of instruments which can support the measurement of both 5G and the earlier communication systems, such as LTE/LTE-Advanced etc. By the launch of new software packages, Anritsu’s functions of its Vector Signal Generator MG3710A and Signal Analyzer MS2690A/MS2691A/MS2692A series will be strengthened by supporting the output of 5G NR signals.
